The prohibited edition, not in the RSL catalog. For the first time, May Day was celebrated in 1890 in the USA and several European countries as an international holiday, in 1891 Russian workers participated in this international action for the first time, and in 1892 Russian-Jewish workers joined it. The author of the preface is not specified, but can be identified by the NLR catalog: Boris Naumovich Krichevsky (1866–1917), philosopher, publicist, translator, member of the Emancipation of Labor group, one of the organizers of the Social Democratic Library publishing center (1893). A copy in the binding of the era, very rare stamps of that time: "Committee of the American Organization of the Party of Socialists-Revolutionaries", "Library and Reading Room of Socialists-revolutionaries Named After N.K. Mikhailovsky ","Bronzeville Russian-Slavic Society for Mutual Assistance". Rare book.
