Initially, it was the organ of the Moscow Department of Public Education, since 1927 — "A Weekly of Theater, Cinema, Music, Variety and Circus", since 1928 — the organ of the Moscow State University of Political Education and the Management of Moscow Entertainment Enterprises. In 1929, it was merged with the magazine "Modern Theater".
