This 1976 Soviet edition features illustrations by M. Belomlinskij, depicting Bilbo, Gendalf, Gollum and Smaug in a style that is precise and stark while still charming and cartoonish.

The first edition in Russian language of the famous Hobbit with very attractive illustrations. Apropos, the image of Bilbo Baggins was created from the face and figure of famous Soviet artist (cinema and theatre) Evgeny Leonov. Good condition.
